We are pleased to invite you to our Dubrovnik International ESEE Mining school that will be held from 12th to 16th October 2020 in Dubrovnik. Join us during five days of academic program held by distinguished lecturers, practical case studies, excursions and networking! During previous four years, DIM school succesfully gathered more than 180 experts, university professors, engineers, students and PhD candidates from all over Europe to discuss contemporary challenges and opportunities in mining and raw materials sector. You can find more on our previous editions on the official website.

The school will be held in the IUC Dubrovnik (Inter University Centre), just a few minutes from the attractive town center.

This year’s topic will be Small mining sites – Innovation in exploitation and processing that we will present in collaboration with our project partners from Montanuniversitaet Leoben, Dnipro University of Technology, Technical University of Košice, AGH University of Science and Technology and many other industrial and academic partners. Detailed description of this year’s topic is available on the official website and full programme will be available soon.

You can register via following link: https://dim-esee.eu/registration-and-fees/ and wait for our payment instructions. Full list of tuition fees is available here.

For early bird application and tuition fee payment we are offering a discount until 1st July 2020. Also, first ten applicants who pay tuition fee for DIM school 2020 receive Online course 2017 package for free!

The tuition fee fully covers accommodation and food during the School. The participants will be accommodated in the IUC, the same location where the course will be held. In case you are interested in the course, but want to arrange your own accommodation and food, the tuition fees slightly differ.

! IMPORTANT ! What about COVID-19?

We are fully aware of all the inconveniences that the prolongation or outbreak of second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic might cause and we are carefully following further development. In the light of the currently uncertain situation, we have prepared two additional scenarios:

  • In case of a partial travelling ban/lockdown: Physically held school with social distancing measures and remote participation of some lecturers;
  • In case of total lockdown and impossibility to implement physical school: On-line school in duration of three days, pre-recorded lectures and 1-2 hour daily discussion/practical work slot. In this case, of course, tuition fee would be 80% reduced.

In order to facilitate the process, we will not require payment of tuition fee until 10th July, when we will announce our final decision on whether the school will be held in Dubrovnik or remotely.

DIM school is a unique opportunity to enjoy five days in beautiful city of Dubrovnik, meet students, engineers and professionals from mining sector from all over Europe, exchange knowledge and experiences and work on practical case studies. Also, DIM ESEE school was recently recognized as EIT RawMaterials’ success story!
